Phones these days can be difficult for seniors to use, especially as we move more towards smartphones and touchscreens. However, there are commercial phones specially designed for older users.

In particular, you may be interested in
- Clarity Amplified Photo Phone (at Age Comfort), which has large numbers and image dial buttons. The device costs about $80 (CDN), plus a shipping fee.
- Panasonic Amplified Cordless Telephone with Digital Answering Machine (at Wellwise Canada), which has large buttons and numbers, and loud, clear sound, along with flashing visual alerts and caller ID announcement.
